3ds agoState Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins weighed in on the sexual harassment accusations facing Gov. Andrew Cuomo in a new interview.
"Any further people coming forward, I would think it would be time for him to resign," she said in the CBS News interview.
Three women have come forward accusing Gov. Cuomo of sexually harassment. One of the women, Katonah native Charlotte Bennett, spoke out on CBS News Thursday night, alleging that he made sexual advances to her in his Albany office during the height of the pandemic.
She said she believed he was making it clear he wanted to have sex with her.
Gov. Cuomo apologized if he made anyone feel uncomfortable during a Wednesday news conference.
Stewart-Cousins said sexual harassment should never be tolerated.
"Any sort of sexual harassment, anything that makes people feel uncomfortable in the workplace is unacceptable," she said.
Calls to Stewart-Cousins for comment on her remarks have not been returned.
