State Sen. Sue Serino (R-41st District) is calling for the full transcript of a secret meeting regarding the alleged cover-up of COVID-19 deaths in New York state nursing homes.

Sen. Serino submitted a Freedom of Information request for either a transcript or recording of last weekend's meeting between the Cuomo administration and Senate Democrats.

Serino says the meeting discussed holding off stripping Gov. Andrew Cuomo of his emergency powers to use as leverage in state budget negotiations with Senate Republicans.

She says New Yorkers deserve transparency and truth, and that nursing home residents are "real people, not political bargaining chips."
