They say the stabbing stemmed from a domestic incident.
Marino DeRosa, 19, was arrested at the scene.
The victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Court documents show a judge signed a temporary extreme risk protection order against the younger DeRosa after a request from state police.
DeRosa is facing assault charges.
