Red Hook residents are seeing a heavy police presence this week as investigators search Spring Lake in connection with a decades-old homicide.

State police say the activity on Spring Lake Road is related to the 1993 killing of Brian Burton.

An underwater recovery team is currently conducting a search of the lake as part of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities say there is no threat to the public.
