The Pleasantville High School women's varsity soccer team was honored at a special celebration in Albany.

The state champs received a special invitation to the Capitol by state Sen. Pete Harckham.

The visit included a tour of the Capitol building, lunch with the senator and special recognition during a session of the state Senate.

Last November, the team defeated Central Valley Academy 3-2, scoring the winning goal with just four seconds left on the clock.
