The state Attorney General's Office released new body camera video of a deadly police shooting that happened last month in Sullivan County.

Police say Trooper Russell Peters shot 32-year-old Albert Melendez following a pursuit in Thompson.

Melendez later died at the hospital.

Police say Peters ordered Melendez to stop at the corner of Rock Hill Drive and Emerald Place.

They say he did not and that his car made contact with Peters, who then fired his weapon multiple times.

The state Attorney General's Office is investigating the incident as required by law.
