A Rye High School star football player was arrested after police say he had marijuana mailed to his house.
Francis Archibald, 17, who led his team to the state semifinals last fall, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. Police say a delivery truck driver tipped them off to the package. Archibald was arrested after he signed for the package containing 6 ounces of pot. Police say the drugs have a street value of about $3,000.
Archibald was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on March 6.
