A standoff between a man and the police in Yonkers Sunday ended peacefully, cops say. Police say it started around 2:00 p.m. after some sort of domestic dispute. A woman fled an apartment at 82 Delano Avenue and called the police. The man barricaded himself inside the apartment and refused to come out. During the standoff, police say they did not know if the man had any weapons with him. The police did not take any chances. Several units were called to the scene, including emergency services. Police officers with shields went it and were finally able to convince the man to come out. The whole ordeal lasted about two hours. While they were waiting police officers evacuated the other tenants of the apartment building.
