Port Jervis officials say one person is dead after a stabbing at an assisted living facility.

The attack happened inside a room at the Sentinel Senior Housing. State police said they found 62-year-old Patricia Winters dead with a stab wound.

The suspect, 84-year-old James Annear, was found with self-inflicted stab wounds and taken to the hospital in critical condition. Investigators said the two were allegedly arguing before it turned physical.

State police said Annear will be charged with murder once he is medically cleared.
