A missing New York City corrections officer from Mount Vernon has been found.
Ken Smith, 53, was reported missing Wednesday by his family. Mount Vernon police tell News 12 he was found in at his friend's house in Harlem.
Authorities say he was confused when officers showed up.

"A local detective along with Corrections interviewed him," says Acting Mount Vernon Police Commissioner Ronald Fatigate. "He was disoriented. He claimed he didn't know where he was."
Smith was taken to a hospital for evaluation, and police say there are no signs of foul play.
The father of two has worked at Riker's Island for the last 20 years as a correction officer. He was armed, as usual, when he left for work Wednesday from the Mount Vernon West train station. He was last seen on surveillance at Grand Central around 6:30 a.m.
His wife then learned he never made it to work and alerted police, kick-starting a race against the clock to find him.
News 12 is told Smith could be under evaluation for up to three days.
