A young man died in a Scarsdale car crash Thursday, marking the fourth time in three weeks a crash claimed the life of a college-aged man in the county.
According to police, the car was traveling on Route 22 around 2:45 a.m. at a high rate of speed when it veered off the road and slammed into a utility pole. The front-seat passenger, 24-year-old Davaugh Blakely, from Elmsford, was killed. The driver, Jonathon Hurst, and back seat passenger, Omar Hawthorne, are in serious condition at Westchester Medical Center.
Police say all the men were wearing seatbelts. They say there are no apparent signs of alcohol.
