A K9 named Topper helped Southampton police track down a man wanted by the NYPD on Tuesday.
The Southampton Police Department says it got an alert from its license plate reader that he was in the area and wanted by the NYPD for involvement in a shooting.
Officials say they did a high risk felony traffic stop and took the man into custody.
After an investigation, police say they found a loaded Mac-11 pistol.
