The giveaway was organized by local leaders, including Mount Vernon Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard and Rep. Jamaal Bowman.
Santa paid a visit to the event, and music, candy, cookies and hot chocolate were also provided.
The giveaway was open to all the residents of Mount Vernon.
