Sorority recognized for nurturing community and environment

The Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority's "Zeta Nu Omega" chapter is being recognized for making significant contributions to both the community and the environment.
In a recent initiative, they planted a new "forever tree" and distributed free saplings to individuals as part of Earth Month celebrations.
Their efforts did not go unnoticed, as Westchester County officially declared Sunday as "AKA Zeta Nu Omega Day."
Additionally, the chapter received the 2024 Eco Award for its dedicated work in environmental conservation and community service.
