A 7-year-old Somers girl who was killed when her mother lost control of the family vehicle in a freak accident was laid to rest today.
Nearly a thousand mourners turned out in The Bronx to bid a final farewell to Madison Bookall, in the same church where she was baptized seven years ago.
Mourners remembered Madison as a beautiful little girl with an infectious smile known for her outsized personality.
After the emotionally charged ceremony, mourners went to the Kensico cemetery in Valhalla, where Madison was buried and seven doves were released into the sky - one for each year she was alive.
