Instead of hunkering down at home and perhaps binging on Netflix, Ardsley High School senior Miles Cooperman and his small army of friends have important work to do.
The teens are part of the group Snow Angels, and on snowy days their mission is simple: they travel around shoveling out the driveways and walkways of their elderly neighbors who can't do it for themselves.
The Snow Angels refuse to accept a dime of payment for their services.
They say their payment is in the gratitude coming from the people they help.
Cooperman says he and his crew don't need the credit - their mission is a labor of love. He says he hopes other young people will adopt the tradition.
"It's nice for people to help while they can, and later on we might need it," he says.
