State police said two people aboard a small plane suffered “minor, non-life-threatening” injuries after the plane landed on the Southern State Parkway.

It happened around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday on the eastbound side near Exit 33.

Jason Campbell saw it happen and his dashcam captured footage of the plane just before it landed.

He told News 12, “My first reaction was ‘I hope it’s not gonna land in front of me or on top of me,’ but then I realized it was going in the opposite lane, it landed safely…”

Campbell said it looked like a “normal” landing except for “an abnormal location.”

He said, “It definitely felt like a movie.”

The FAA said in a statement: “A single-engine Piper PA-28 landed on Southern State Parkway after the pilot reported engine failure while on approach to Republic Airport in Farmingdale, New York, around 11:40 a.m. local time on Tuesday, Feb. 20. Two people were on board. The FAA will investigate.”
