A Sleepy Hollow family is in mourning Tuesday after a 6-year-old boy died after falling into an icy pond.

Police say Julian Geach was walking his dog when he fell into Freemont Pond Monday. Julian had been gone about 45 minutes when his father went looking for him and found only the dog by the pond. Rescue teams launched a massive search before finding Julian's body approximately 30 feet from shore. Police say the boy's body temperature was well below normal when he was pulled from the water. He was transported to Phelps Memorial Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Neighbors say they?re devastated over the tragic news. They say they plan on being there to support the Geach family.
