Teachers in the Sleepy Hollow School District have joined forces with the Gulotta House to support a 3rd-grade student, Yuleiri, recently diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome.
The rare condition has left Yuleiri paralyzed from the shoulders down and currently in the intensive care unit at Cohen Children's Medical Center.
To aid Yuleiri's recovery, district teachers have launched a week-long fundraiser to cover her medical expenses.
