A weekend of violence in Yonkers sent two sisters to the hospital with stab wounds.
Police say a large fight broke out outside the Shoblaum Housing Complex Sunday night. They say a 38-year-old woman was stabbed in the shoulder with a pair of scissors and her sister was stabbed in the leg. Police arrested Rasheda Rivers, 20, in connection with the stabbing of the 38-year-old. Rivers is charged with assault. Police say it's not clear who attacked the woman's sister.
In an unrelated incident, a 22-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach in front of the Clean City Laundromat on South Broadway. Police say the victim got into an argument with a group of men before he was attacked. He's being treated at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. No arrests have been made in this case.
