Benjamin Franklin Elementary School in Shrub Oak remains open Monday, but the district is taking precautions after informing parents one of its students was tested for swine flu.
Lakeland Central School District officials say they were informed on Friday that the fifth-grader was tested, but they have not yet received the results of that test. Classrooms and school buses were disinfected over the weekend.
There are currently 14 confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus in Westchester. Most of the cases are reported as mild. The latest case confirmed in the county was in an adult male from Yonkers.
School officials say they won?t make any comments on camera until the test results are in.
