For the third time this week, gunfire erupted in Yonkers overnight.
Police say they received several calls around 12:15 a.m. about shots fired near the corner of Oak and Elm streets. Officials say when officers arrived they were told there was a victim who ran off, but no one was found. At least one shell casing was recovered.
Residents say they are sick and tired of all the violence.
Shots were fired on Dunbar and Alton Wood Place just after 8 p.m. on Sunday. Witnesses told police a man was sitting in his car when he was shot in the arm. Then, about three hours later, cops arrived at a home on Clarendon Avenue to find three bullet holes had been fired through the window. Luckily, no one was hit by the gunfire.
No arrests have been made in any of the shootings, including this morning's gunfire.
