Shots fired in Poughkeepsie, occupied vehicle hit by bullets

Officers were called in for reports of shots fired and found an occupied vehicle had been struck with gunfire.

Poughkeepsie police are now looking for whoever fired gunshots in a residential neighborhood yesterday.
Officials say it happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Bain Avenue and Vernon Terrace.
Officers were called in for reports of shots fired and found an occupied vehicle had been struck with gunfire.
Shell casings were recovered at the scene. No one in that car or elsewhere was hurt.
