Gunfire erupted in Mount Vernon for the second time in two nights on Thursday.
Officials say shots were fired on South Fourth Avenue around 11:30 p.m.
Bullet casings and a gun were found in the area. There were no injuries reported, and there are no arrests at this time.
The gunfire comes a day after a man was shot in the rear-end Wednesday night along South First Avenue. Police have not said whether the shootings are connected.
