Teen arrested after Yonkers shooting leaves 1 dead, 4 injured

A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with a Yonkers shooting that left one person dead and four others injured.

Police say the incident occurred around 8:43 p.m. Sunday near Elm Street and Palisade Avenue.

A 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining a gunshot wound to his back.

The other victims comprise of two 15-year-olds, a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old. Police say they remain hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

The teen suspect was taken into custody at the scene. Investigators say they have recovered a loaded gun and ballistic evidence.

The shooting was a targeted incident and there is no further threat to the public, according to police.
