A severe thunderstorm shut down roads throughout Westchester Tuesday and left one Sound Shore family with a flooded home. The Pizzonia?s of Larchmont say Tuesday?s storm caused flooding in their basement and that it wasn't the first time. The family says flooding has occurred three times since 2007, totaling about $30,000 in damage. They say local officials should step in and prevent future flooding. ?I hope somebody does something to fix this problem over here,? says Anna Pizzonia. Pizzonia?s son-in-law says the problem would be solved if more drains were installed on neighboring properties. Additional flooding occurred Tuesday at the Rumsey Road entrance ramp to the Saw Mill Parkway in Yonkers. In New Rochelle, several homes were left without electricity as the storm passed.
