Friends and family filled the Lincoln Park Jewish Center to capacity to remember a Yonkers man killed Tuesday in a wrong-way accident on the Major Deegan Expressway.
Dovid Kaplan, a 63-year-old Vietnam veteran, died when he collided with a city transportation truck in the Bronx after heading the wrong way on an exit ramp.
Friends and neighbors said he was a generous man who often volunteered at the local synagogue.
Veterans and current members of the armed forces also came to pay respects.
The family says Kaplan wanted to be buried in Israel, and will honor that wish.
