The Peekskill High School graduating class may be a few members short after school officials are threatening strong punishment for a senior prank. On Monday morning, a going away message from the class of 2006 in red and blue paint was found outside the front door of Peekskill High School. Using a paint roller, someone wrote "Class of 2006, we're out of here," not just once, but several times. They also spilled paint up and down the sidewalk in front of the school on Elm Street. End of year senior pranks are not uncommon, but some students say this prank sends the wrong message. Peekskill Superintendent Judith Johnson says she will pursue criminal charges. The vandals also face disciplinary action by the school district.
