Seniors throughout Westchester and Hudson Valley continue to struggle to understand Medicare's new prescription drug plan. Now, a local senator is helping them navigate through the confusion.
State Senator Vincent Leibell (R-Patterson) sponsored a forum at the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center Thursday. Seniors across the country have voiced their opinions about how puzzled they are about the "Part-D" Medicare prescription drug plan. Leibell said he held the forum because he too had more questions than answers about "Part-D" in his own family.
Medicare officials were among the speakers who tried to clear up the confusion. Leibell plans to hold more forums in the coming days.
