A seaplane made a rough landing onto the Hudson River off the coast of Piermont Pier on Tuesday.
Authorities tell News 12 that the pilot was flying below the clouds because of bad weather when the alternator blew and the aircraft lost power, forcing an emergency landing.
Piermont firefighters towed the plane to shore. Officials say they want to check the plane before allowing it to take off again.
No one was hurt as a result of the landing.
Authorities say the pilot is from the area and often lands there. He was the only one on board at the time of the incident
