Management for an affordable housing complex in Pine Bush is expressing frustration over ongoing flooding problems.
The affording housing complex is for seniors and people with disabilities.
A representative for Two Plus Four Management tells News 12 they installed larger drains about a decade ago, at the town’s request, but that the stormwater is still coming from surrounding properties.
Residents previously told News 12 that they have to move their cars during heavy rainfall to avoid flood damage.
Crawford Town Supervisor Charles Carnes tells News 12 that complex management has been instructed to perform additional drainage improvements. He says town officials are also communicating with Pine Bush School District administration about storm water management at Edward J. Russel Elementary School, which is located next to the property, and that storm drainage upgrades are in the works for right-of-way areas owned by the town nearby.
