School teacher accused in Internet sex sting
A Pelham Middle School teacher has been arrested after police say he used the Internet to try and have sex with a 15-year-old girl.
According to police, 34-year-old Gregg Cavaluzzi, of Yorktown, traveled to Elmsford Sunday and expected to have a sexual rendezvous with the 15-year-old. However, the person who Cavaluzzi thought was receiving his explicit messages was actually an undercover detective, and the teacher was arrested, police say.
Cavaluzzi, who is facing a federal charge of enticing a minor for sex, was arraigned Monday afternoon at U.S. District Court in White Plains.
