A janitor is accused of stealing from an elementary school in Chester and drug possession.
Police say that when they started investigating thefts at Chester Elementary School, janitor Matthew Joyce was always a prime target. Investigators say he was spotted near the classrooms where teachers reported having cash stolen from their bags.
Police went to the school last week to question him. Police say a bag of heroin fell out when they had him empty his pockets. They say more was found when they searched his car.
Joyce admitted to stealing cash and having an addiction to heroin.
He was arrested and charged with drug possession and theft. He is due in court next month.
