A Scarsdale police officer pleaded guilty in connection with an incident in Elmsford last year.
Dante Barrera was originally charged with assault after Elmsford police say he attacked a woman.
The Westchester District Attorney's Office says that Barrera pleaded guilty on Oct. 4 to second-degree harassment after completing programs that were part of his plea deal.
He was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge – meaning that if any conditions are not met as part of the plea agreement, he can be resentenced.
Scarsdale police say Barrera, who has been on the force for about three years, has been suspended without pay since January.
