About 100 parents protested at Ardsley Middle School Wednesday after a "problem" child's Internet threat sparked a school evacuation a day earlier.
Police confirm that some students saw a video blog titled "The Plot to Bomb Ardsley." However, nothing suspicious was found at the school Tuesday. The scare came after violent threats were allegedly made against fellow students over the weekend.
Officials say the 14-year-old son of school board member Stephanie Marquesano is responsible for both incidents. Police declined to file charges in either case, saying the incidents weren't criminal.
Outraged parents held signs saying, "What about our rights?" They also vowed to keep their kids at home until the boy is removed. "It's not like this is an isolated incident," fumed one parent. "It's been going on for months and everyone knows it."
Later, it was announced that the boy will not return for the remainder of the school year because his parents have decided to home school him.
