Saugerties PD: Man arrested in case of attempted strangulation, arrested again in less than 24 hours
Police say they initially arrested 33-year-old Richard Marinello, of Saugerties, on Jan. 19.

2h agoThe Saugerties Police Department is reporting a second arrest of the same man in less than 24 hours.
Police responded to 535 Old Stage Road for an anonymous report of a domestic dispute around 10:15 a.m.
Officers located 33-year-old Richard Marinello in the residence with the victim - even though there was an order of protection.
Marinello was previously arrested Thursday night after allegedly assaulting and attempting to strangle the same victim to the point of unconsciousness.
During Marinello's initial arrest, he was released by the court with a full stay away order of protection.
Marinello is now charged with criminal contempt of a court order.
