Police are investigating after satanic messages were found sprawled across the walls and on statues at St. Joseph?s Seminary in Yonkers.
Symbols such as a pentagram and upside down crosses were found on the campus of the century-old Catholic seminary. Church officials say the graffiti indicates signs of Satan and devil worship. The fact that the vandalism was done on June 6 was not lost on church officials. The numbers 666 are associated with the devil.
Monsignor Peter Finn says he doesn?t think the graffiti is the work of teenage vandals. He says the graffiti is extensive and laid out in a very deliberate way. Police are treating it as a bias crime.
