A Rye ophthalmologist was sentenced to pay back millions to those he scammed and serve eight years in prison.

Dr. Ameet Goyal pleaded guilty to fraudulently billing over $3.5 million for procedures that he did not perform.

While facing those charges, Goyal committed another act of fraud - and used two loans intended for COVID relief for small businesses.
