Rubber ducks take a plunge in Yonkers for first-ever Duck Derby

The event, hosted by the Westchester Parks Foundation, will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Lazy River Pool and will raise funds for the revitalization of Tibbetts Lake.

Get ready for a splash! Hundreds of rubber ducks will compete in the inaugural Duck Derby at Tibbetts Brook Park on Thursday.

The event, hosted by the Westchester Parks Foundation, will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Lazy River Pool and will raise funds for the revitalization of Tibbetts Lake.

To participate, attendees must purchase at least one rubber duck. The first duck to cross the finish line wins its owner a grand prize of $1,000.

The Duck Derby will feature food, drinks, music, and plenty of activities for the whole family. Plus, all kids will receive free ice cream.
