A busy Westchester road is getting a much-needed makeover.

State and local officials met Wednesday to announce plans to repair Route 133, which runs through New Castle and Ossining.

The state will invest $8 million to fix a two-mile stretch, including new lights, crosswalks, striping, and drainage.

Officials say the road impacts thousands of drivers daily.

Construction is expected to begin early next year.
