The Rockland County Health Department has announced Saturday that it has run out of the seasonal flu vaccine, forcing some flu shot clinics to be canceled.
Nyack Hospital spokesperson Amy Massimo said in a statement that the health department is waiting for additional shipments of the vaccine. The hospital will resume clinics once its supply is replenished.
More doses of the vaccine are expected to come in late October or early November.
Some local residents were outraged to hear about the shortage. Others, however, say there are many places where one could get vaccinated, including pharmacies.
