yesterdayA 35-year-old Rockland man was arrested as the result of a sting operation.
Victor Peraino, of Garnerville, was charged with attempting to disseminate indecent material to a minor.
The Stony Point Police Department conducted the investigation with the Rockland DA's Office.
The DA's Office says Peraino was arrested following online communication with an undercover officer whom he believed to be a 14-year-old girl.
He allegedly sent explicit videos and photographs of himself to the undercover officer.
He was arrested last month after responding to a pre-arranged meeting location, which was arranged with the undercover officer.
Peraino was arraigned in Stony Point Town Court and released on $1,000 bail.
