Rockland County lawmakers passed a new law on Tuesday to help the families of fallen first responders.
Rockland County legislators voted unanimously to approve The Rockland County Volunteer Benefit Act.
It will provide grants of up to $1 million to the dependents of volunteer firefighters, EMS and auxiliary police members who are killed in the line of duty.
