Rockland County Executive Ed Day delivered his 2016 State of the County address Tuesday night.
During the speech at the Allison-Parris Office Building in New City, Day spoke about the financial state of the county, schools and the future of the Summit Park Hospital and Nursing Care Center.
He also addressed leaders in Albany and asked them to deliver critical mandate relief.
Day says he is encouraged by the county's unemployment rate, which is at its lowest level since December 2006 at 3.8 percent. He plans to continue enhancing the county's economic stability with the cooperation of the legislature and residents in Rockland.
