Nearly 4,000 rubber ducks competed in the rain on Sunday to win first place at the Rockland Duck Derby.
The second annual event brought dozens of people together at Germonds Pool in Clarkstown.
Proceeds from the derby support four different charities, including Jawonio, an organization that serves people with special needs.
CEO Randi Rios-Castro shared how the money will benefit them.
"It really helps us to afford to do programming that we wouldn't be able to do otherwise, so to have somebody put together an event like this that benefits multiple charities has been really wonderful for Jawonio and the people we're supporting," Rios-Castro said.
If you missed out on the fun--don't worry!
Organizers from the event said they hope to hold another derby next year.
