The Rockland District Attorney's Office just made an explosive Facebook post after weeks of criticism over the deadly fire at the Evergreen Home For Adults.
The district attorney released a batch of public documents in the case after weeks of being criticized over plea deals.
The father, son rabbi duo accused of sparking the fire are likely to avoid jail time, which has volunteer fire departments across the county rebuking the district attorney. The fire killed a resident and volunteer firefighter Jared Lloyd.
The post online says, "The matter is still pending... Therefore, any public comments outside of the record made in Court on that date is inappropriate."
The documents posted include a state Office of Fire Prevention and Control Investigation report, a defense expert report and court transcripts.
