Rockland County's new 2022 budget proposal has been unveiled, and it would let residents avoid property tax hikes.
Despite the strain of the pandemic, the nearly $ 775 million plan manages to avoid a property tax increase, layoffs or program cuts.
The county executive says these are just some of the ways he plans to help residents bounce back from the pandemic.
"The pandemic has created aches in our wallets and purses, but we must do what we can to support these agencies, while ensuring that they can go on providing help to our residents," says Rockland County County Executive Ed Day.
A public hearing will be held to discuss the budget plan next month.
