A nearly $2 million overhaul to Rockland County's 911 system is giving county residents state-of-the-art emergency communications.
Spring Valley Police Dispatcher Dominick D'Alisera says Rockland's new 911 system gives him what he needs.
"The more information that we put into it, the easier it is to transfer callers," he says.
Rockland 911 Coordinator Pablo Ramos says that everything the dispatcher needs is at the click of a mouse, including the ability to access a directory of support agencies.
In addition to quicker connections to other agencies, the new system is digital, providing clearer communication.
