A Rockland County man is facing up to 25 years in prison for a deadly stabbing incident that occurred last year, according to police.

Authorities say 38-year-old Warle Arias-Fernandez has been found guilty of manslaughter after killing his partner, Carolyn Canella, inside their apartment.

The DA says the jury believed the defendant acted under extreme emotional disturbance.

He is set to be sentenced next month. News 12 is waiting to hear back from his attorney for comment.
