Rockland County Ida victims now eligible for FEMA aid

Rockland County residents are now eligible to apply for FEMA disaster assistance for damage and losses caused by Ida.

New help is available for those still struggling to recover from Ida.
According to Rockland Executive Ed Day and FEMA officials, county residents are now eligible to apply for FEMA disaster assistance for damage and losses caused by Ida.
To be considered for aid, you'll need to register online at FEMA website or through the FEMA mobile app.
If online or mobile access is unavailable, applicants can also call the FEMA toll-free helpline at 800-621-3362.
Those who use 711-Relay or Video Relay Services can call 800-621-3362.
Those who apply will be required to provide a current phone number where they can be contacted, the address at the time of the disaster and the address where they are now staying, their Social Security number, if available and a general list of damages and losses.
If insured, those who apply will be required to provide the insurance policy number, or the agent and company name.
